International Gathering

Our next International Gathering is Friday, May 2, 2014.

In our May 2nd International Gathering, we plan to discuss the position of importance our native culture gives to our mother and father.  As you adjust to life as an immigrant, have you found that relationship change?  As you are a parent yourself, how is your experience with your children?  How has that position of importance changed?

Redmond Library, Meeting Room 2, 1-3 pm

The address is 15990 NE 85th Street, Redmond.
Feel free to share this with your friends

I have dreamed of creating a place where people from different countries can come together, have a cup of tea, talk with each other, learn about each other's culture, and make friends,

It is also a place where immigrants can find friends who share their experience of adjusting to another culture.  Maybe support one another while they are away from their home country and families.

The International Gathering was created for the purpose of bringing people together who want to learn about other cultures, and building friendships.

We usually have several activities at each meeting.  They vary from meeting to meeting.  We always enjoy connecting with each other.

Besides our monthly meetings, occasionally we learn to cook cuisine from different countries.  So far, we've learned to make Chinese fried rice, dumplings, stir-fried vegetables, French crepe, and some Russian food.

We also go on day trips to explore Seattle and surrounding areas. This year, we've been to Richmond Beach, Carkeek Park, Golden Gardens Park, Greenlake, Swanson's Nursery, Lake Union to see the houseboats, Volunteer Park Conservatory, Deception Pass, Tulip Festival, u-pick strawberries, raspberries, bluberries.   For details, email
